The Double-Name Holiday

It used to be Columbus Day, but times and tides are changing. Call it Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples’ Day, please be aware of holiday closings today.

Government offices are open in Harford and Anne Arundel counties, and closed in Baltimore City and all other counties.

All courts are CLOSED and all public schools are OPEN.

Libraries are closed everywhere but Carroll County.

There's no trash or recycling pick-up in Baltimore City, but trash collections are on as normal in Baltimore, Anne Arundel, and Howard counties. In Harford and Carroll counties, check with your contractor.

 
Federal government offices are closed.

All Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration locations are closed Monday.
