The Saturday Picture Show, January 9, 2021

A perfect image for the start to a year like this...hope in the sky!
Friends from all over the world, you might not know how great it is to have a snowy day. I have to say that the sweetest part of a snowy day is at dusk, whether or not it's still snowing. The evening between day and night shows the snow off to its best advantage.
The perfect balustrade for a pianist's balcony!
This week's puzzle pic: who can tell me whose house this has been since 1974?
The world's oldest, toughest tongue twister was born here: say "bouncing baby bed buggy" three times real fast.
Did you know that Baltimore was, at one time, the world's leader for umbrella manufacturing? This guy clearly took a leaf out of our book.
This reminds me of the movie The Defiant Ones, in which Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier are convicts handcuffed together, trying to make good their escape. But these women are not crooks or anything, but they will have to be nice to each other until whoever knotted them up can come around again.
January is a great month to read, as are the other 11!
