The Saturday Picture Show July 3, 2021: Special July 4 Warmup Edition

How it began: July 4, 1776. Here's the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopting the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies' separation from Great Britain. Great Britain didn't take kindly to it, but oh well.
This is always a great show, live from Washington tomorrow night on PBS.

Nothing is more American than the 4th of July Parade in towns and villages everywhere. Our great local councilman David Marks will be in several of them, for sure. He seems to do 27 things every day anyway, holiday or no.
My old volunteer Fire Company always rides in the parade in Towson.

You have to love a nation with potato salad, for sure.

I love this picture. Even the girl with a broken arm can play the tambourine with her good arm!
Plenty of red, white, and blue this weekend.
Ocean City, Maryland, will have fireworks on the beach as usual.

Happy kids.
So, it started on July 4, 1776. And here's how it's going.
