The Saturday Picture Show, November 1, 2014

This weekend in Mexico it's Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a holiday observed to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.  These effigies are part of the remembrance.
I saw the lady from Redbox at the grocery store, filling the Redbox with DVDs, and I told her I had never seen anyone doing that task, so I always figured that little elves came around at night, restocking the machines.  She told me she has another job: baking cookies in a hollow log.
I feel so sad for the people of Hawaii who are losing their houses and homes to a slow-moving natural catastrophe.  Volcanic lava spewing, and nothing that Man has come up with can stop it.  That sort of tells you who's really in charge, huh?
You don't see this sort of thing all the time - a rug for all seasons. Leave the green side up in spring and summer, and then when autumn arrives, turn over a new leaf!
This is a subtle reminder to take time to read.  We'll be watching!
You can't beat a good pizza for dinner, lunch, or your pc wallpaper.
This past Wednesday marked the 43rd anniversary of the day Duane Allman died in a motorcycle crash in Macon, GA. His influence is still felt in music circles in which guitarists spin and spin, trying to recreate the sounds he got playing slide guitar with a Coricidin bottle.
Before you go off on your merry Saturday way, take a better look at this parrot and comment what you see, please!

I see a man who at first glance, looks just like a parrot!

It might be a woman! Very well camouflaged!
