The Saturday Picture Show, January 3, 2026

I enjoy going station-to-station at receptions, parties, and supermarket openings. It's best to have the cutlery station first in the path so we participants can jam knife-fork-spoon-napkins in our shirt pocket so we can hit the lasagna bar. But it cuts down on the confusion when we spell cutlery properly.
There's nothing much more American than to use the old broken-down DuMont console TV as a stand for the new monitor.
I keep reading that vision boards are going to be THE THING in 2026. In order to manifest that into being, I'm setting up a large posterboard and gluing pictures onto it of people seeing themselves doing things, buying things, going places, setting up vision boards....
Oh Lord, it's Alfred Tennyson with best wishes for the coming year.
Harsh, but maybe they will come around a little if you heat up a nice slice of apple pie for them.
Man! It was so windy the other day that the Griswolds' family truckster overturned on the way home from the tree farm.
Here's a new Green deal we can all get behind - Make Nature great again!
Ravens - Steelers Sunday night. To paraphrase Glenn Frey, "Someone's gonna cry when they see they lost it, and someone's gonna thank the stars above." Win or go home.
From right here in good old Baltimore, the Magnificent Marching Machine from Morgan State University stepped up big on the Rose Parade on New Year's Day. Made us all proud!
We still sing that "ESSKAY quality meats" jingle, even though they went out of business years ago. Doesn't feel Like Christmas without them!
