The Saturday Picture Show, August 3, 2019

They didn't come out with the really cool lunchboxes until I was at an age that made it uncool to have a lunchbox. But this one would have been a nice way to tote my PB&J and TastyKake to school.
I was sorry to see that Woodstock 50 had to be cancelled because of a lot of bad vibes and whatnot. But at least we can look forward to Woodstack.
Pretty cool t-shirt here.
My bad luck - too old for a Beatles lunchbox, too young to be a beatnik.
This 48-Star Flag, from the Landing Craft Control 60 LCC 60, flew in battle during the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944, and was recently presented to the Smithsonian. The ragged old flag was tinged by diesel smoke, and the hole in the star field is said to have been made by a German bullet, and yet the flag - and our great nation - survives to this day.
This must be a Florida or California thing; we don't have lemon trees here, but soon it will be time for people to bring dozens of tomatoes and squash to work for free distribution. It must be cool to walk out in the back yard and grab a lemon, though.
I promise this will be the last of the Four Seasons Of The Same Scene pictures for a while.
It's a shame we can't read books while we drive, but examining the stick families on rear windows of the cars ahead of us is almost as good. I hope this family is completed again soon.
