The Saturday Picture Show, August 8, 2015

Original seats from the Polo Grounds in New York City, home of the baseball Giants and Mets back in the day.  Just the thing for any office or den!
Saw this and wanted to share.  "Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself."
I have been long distance friends since even before Facebook with an amazing photographer from Australia named Nirrimi.  I became aware of her through an article that touted her great skills in photography even before she reached teen age, and her work continues to be great as she has matured.  She shares all her work and thoughts on her blog fireandjoy.com.  Recently, she returned home after touring America with the band First Aid Kit to find her wall festooned with post-its from her significant other, extolling his love and appreciation for her many good qualities. I like this idea and just need to find the right wall to make such a monument to my love for Peggy!
If you don't know who these guys are, you can't be a resident of TV Land.
This week's free computer or phone wallpaper is this pretty field of flowers.
This is my hammer.  MC's Hammer.
This is not a fake or a joke.  Gilbert, the same company that made all those chemistry sets that we played with as children, used to make an atomic energy set for home use.  They had to stop making them when kids started glowing, I guess.
There is evidence that rock 'n' roll was born in Cleveland, child of country, blues, big band and gospel, and midwifed by DJ Alan Freed.  This was in 1952, and that baby is still alive and doing well, although some people seem to want to end its life.
