On the other hand, Richard Nixon funded his first congressional campaign with $6,000 that he won playing poker as a Navy lieutenant. BONUS NIXONIA: in 1945, he lived at 900 Wilson Point Rd in Middle River, Baltimore County, as he finished his Navy service working as a lawyer settling terminated warplane contracts with the Glenn L. Martin Co across the street.
